SOCIAL MEDIA'S IMPACT ON MENTAL HEALTH

Food for Thought: How much time do you spend on social media daily? weekly? monthly?

PRODUCTIVITY APP RECOMMENDATION

In Today's day and age, it really is super so hard to stay focused. With all the possible distractions—social media, video games, phone calls/texts/emails, TV series—they are all in the way of giving your full attention from your academics, to-do lists, really anything!

Flora is a free app that blocks out these distractions to help you concentrate on your tasks while growing a cute little virtual tree. Each time you intend to do a task exclusively = you plant a tree. As your time spent solely on your task goes, the tree serving as your focused time continues to grow. Otherwise, when you get distracted, the tree dies.

It blocks out social media and other websites that keep you from focusing.

This is a great application everyone, especially for medical students who struggle with procrastinating or ADHD. This app has personally helped me tremendously to start giving my undivided attention to a single task at hand. Truly a game changer for my productivity and time mangement!
